This blog is designed by 7th form pupils in the Pioneer Prep. School of Monastir, Tunisia under the supervision of the English teacher Besma Maraoui. The objective is to sensitize pupils of the challenges facing traditional handcrafts in their region and to invite them to look for the causes of these problems and think about solutions possible to adopt.
The project is done with different countries working with i-EARN international and namely under a Learning Circles Project facilitated by Barry Kramer. It's an opportunity for young students to work in collaboration and share their work with real people even in the virtual world.
The students worked on different projects of the 6 partner schools who are the members of the Places and Perspectives Learning Circle of the 2nd term of the year 2015 / 2016.
From 15th January to the end of May the pupils came regularly to the English club to plan, work and share opinions to assure the reliable content of the blog through research, photography, writings and field visits to the places in focus.
The project was cofacilitated by Robin Sheridan, from New Jersy, USA. He is at the same time a member of the circle and working on a project with his students.
